Child Development Center
Purpose:
The purpose of the Presbyterian Child Development Center School is to offer
to each child a new educational experience which will enable him or her to grow
emotionally, socially, spiritually, physically, and intellectually in a Christian
environment of love and acceptance. We endeavor to provide a positive first
school experience.
The Pre-School operates within the Christian community, and our intention is
to offer an atmosphere and program which express the insights and heritage of
the Christian faith. This is achieved through familiar everyday experiences
and the observance of holidays of the Christian year rather than through formal
religious instruction. We also celebrate traditions of other faiths and cultures
so that each child may develop an appreciation of all people.
The First Presbyterian Church established the Pre-School in the belief that
multicultural heritages and a wide variety of social and educational experiences
provide a stimulus to the growth of a child's mind and character. Our Pre-School
offers children objectives they can handle successfully and social situations
into which they can learn to fit comfortably.
